Mona Miller

I mulched my sprouting lilies and milkweeds. I will cover my vibrunum, which is in full bloom now. We can prepare and then hold our breath until it is over. The most awful thing is when we have a hard freeze near the end of May. I've seen this happen at least two times in this area. After that, we don't see many butterflies until July. The butterflies also take a hit.

Casa Mariposa

Mother Nature has a sick, twisted sense of humor. I'll be covering a few plants with old blankets. :(

You should have seen us at Merrifield today, so glad I don't have the nursery. I joked with my manager about his new gray hair. We all do what we can. I hate to think of the butterflies taking it again, especially monarchs recovering from the freeze in Mexico!Fingers crossed that this is the last of it.
