If you don't dig them let me know. I have a shovel and I know where you live.

You will need a treasure map, tee hee. And I'm not sharing. OK, maybe I'll share.

Karen, what a timely post! I reconnected with a friend this week after a 10 year lull in communications - we worked together at a florist shop, not just any shop - it was such a special place and time. I learned so much about plants and life during my time there - a small family owned business - at the time the second oldest in the county- in the south - steeped in tradition. You've inspired me to re-read one of my favorite books my mentor Henry Rehder, wrote, "Growing a Beautiful Garden: A Landscape Guide for the Coastal Carolinas." To this day, I have the only other designer who reminded me of their work was Tina - so sad she moved! Thanks for sharing your beautiful arrangements!

The Madderlake Florist was a cutting edge florist in the 80's, making arrangements for the sake of the flower, rather than the cellophane paper and wrap.I wonder if they were also influenced by them?
