Have you ever tried breaking open a stem of Jewelweed and rubbing the liquid on the rash? Health food stores sell a tincture of Jewelweed now or you can get it on line. I'm sure you know what Jewelweed looks like. This link is from the Wildflower Center in Texas:

I have used jewelweed, also aloe vera. I think the premise is the thick juice covers up the rash so air doesn't get to it. But it's interesting that jewelweed is sold like that. Another good remedy.
