My stealth cameras have been repositioned to the wilder parts of the farm. Two days after our last snow storm I ventured out and was able to see how traffic moved by the prints in the snow. Apparently deer paths are not just used by deer. Even as I walked to the further edges of the property, a flock of turkeys lifted off and I initially mistook them for geese, there were so many.
After hearing the cry of coyotes this summer and fall, I was curious about them and what numbers we may have on the farm. To date they have been very elusive. One of the cameras took a photograph at night of a coyote, otherwise nothing. There are still some areas to explore, but I am enjoying the photographs and sharing some of the most recent captures.
I've moved the cameras again so stay posted for more.
These are wonderful!
