A few years ago, down by Lynchburg, I went for a long hike with a local couple. About half way along their little hound picked up a live Cicada and carried it "safely" home.

As was the dog's habit, it spat out the live, unharmed Cicada to crawl away and dry out. True story!

last night I heard a katydid stuck on did. It reminded me of my vinyl record days, when the needle gets stuck in a grove. Did, did, did. And I understand that cicada's are a favorite snack for dogs, surprised he didn't eat it.
